Use Torrent’s sprints to dodge Commander Gaius’s attacks while hitting him with a frost weapon until he goes into frostbite buildup, swap to Black Flame incantation to reset frostbite buildup and deal even more damage. You should repeat this strategy until defeat him.
Commander Gaius’s holy damage weakness
In Elden Ring, defeating the boss Commander Gaius by utilizing Torrent and frostbite buildup is a challenging yet rewarding experience, but there’s a far easier way.
After utilizing the frostbite buildup and the Black Flame Incantation to reset the frostbite status, I made a surprising discovery – it turns out that Commander Gaius’s weakness actually lies in holy damage, which allows for a whopping more than 2000 damage per incantation.
As a Souls player who appreciates quality builds, I have allocated 60 points to both Faith and Magic for my Elden Ring character. This investment enables me to effectively utilize Miquella’s Triple Rings of Light and deal substantial damage while raiding Torrent.
This newfound strategy added a whole new layer of depth to the battle, forcing me to adapt and change my approach. The calculated use of Torrent and Miquella’s Triple Rings of Light allowed me to exploit Gaius’s weaknesses.
